A Book of Dog Breeds for Children by Amber Richards is an interesting short book with colorful pictures of different kinds of dogs. Your young child will be fascinated by the kinds of dogs portrayed. The author did a great job with her explanation of each breed of dog. She captured the essence of their species with words that will be comprehensible to young readers.
The pictures will entertain children who learn by visual means, and their parents. A Book of Dog Breeds for Children has a colorful picture of a dog on each page with its description. They are short and sweet, just what is needed for children between pre-kindergarten and third grade. A Book of Dog Breeds for Children will teach youngsters not only about the true nature of the different breeds but also that, no matter their differences, they are all still dogs. They are tall, hairy, big, short, fat, wrinkled and long, but they are dogs, nonetheless.
These differences can also be applied to all groups of humans. We too come in different shapes and colors, but in the end we are all humans. That is a lesson we all need to learn - to find love, peace and brotherhood in this world, something we all need in this day and age. This book is well done by the author, and will be enjoyed by kids, teachers and parents. A very nice addition to any library, be at school or at home.
