A Rescued Love is based on the romantic interests of pediatric nurse Julia Anderson. Julia was previously dating fellow doctor Scott. Unfortunately, that relationship didn’t work out. They remained friends. One evening after work, Scott told Julia that he wanted to speak to her. In the car park garage, Scott was gunned down and died on the spot. Julia was relieved that she had her friend Derek’s shoulder to lean on at this difficult time. Derek and Julia became closer. Derek took Julia to stay at his family’s cabin for safety as Scott’s killer was still at large.
A Rescued Love is a heartwarming love story. It is not the run of the mill “boy meets girl” saga. It is quite realistic in its portrayal of the dilemmas between the main character and her male companions. The language used is colloquial and is quite easy to understand. I love the fact that author Natalie Replogle revealed the vulnerabilities of the two main characters. This is very touching and the average reader can identify with the emotional turmoil they are experiencing. This demonstrates that in reality members of both sexes are indeed human and are not exempt from bouts of crying or feelings of despair. I also enjoyed the aspect of spirituality inserted into the plot. This is timely because in these tough economic times, we must remember that God is in control. I enjoyed this novel and I recommend it to all readers
