"A Revelation in Autumn" is part five of 'The Discovery: A Lancaster County Saga'. This book opens with Meredith Stoltzfus having her baby in her sister's buggy, with the assistance of her sister. Meredith lost her husband Luke several months earlier, so Meredith is left with taking care of and supporting her son. Jonah has had his eye on Meredith for a while now, but it is still too soon to pursue a relationship with her, so he will have to wait to let her know how he feels. In the meantime, Eddie is home from the hospital, at someone’s home that is, because he now has amnesia and can’t remember his name, where he came from, or anything at all about his past life.

I am a true Wanda Brunstetter fan. I love her Amish fiction and "A Revelation in Autumn" is one I really enjoyed. I haven’t read the first four books in this series, so I picked up after Luke is gone. It is clear that Luke and Meredith had a heartwarming relationship, but when Jonah keeps coming around, she had an attraction for him. But is the attraction for Jonah, or because her baby needs a dad and Meredith needs someone to support her and her baby? I enjoyed the love and support from the families through the characters. I was also eager to find out who this Eddie was, which kept me reading until I finished the book. The ending wasn’t what I expected, so I plan to read book six in this series to find out what happens with everyone! As usual, Wanda Brunstetter gives her readers an awesome story to read, leaving a hunger for more of her stories. If you enjoy Amish fiction, this one is a must for you. It is a short story, and will give you several hours of enjoyment. And I suggest that you pick up the other five books in the series as well and read them all together!
