A World of Unbreakable Love is a children’s picture book written by Melissa Garin with illustrations by Ale Tadeo. It follows two siblings, Emma and Elliot, who want to come up with a great idea to hold on to the memories they make with their loved ones over the summer. They decide to put little bits of each memory in a jar and a box, hoping to use them when they are away from their other family members. This does not work as they realize that the jar is too small and the scent they put in a box has escaped. They try putting keepsakes in a chest, thinking it is big and secure enough. Unfortunately, the chest ends up bursting, as it cannot contain the items. Out of ideas, Emma and Elliot turn to their mother, who makes them realize that there is another way they can hold on to their precious memories and make sure they are secure and with them everywhere they go.
A World of Unbreakable Love is one of those stories that just feels good—it’s all about cherishing moments with the people you care about. The book introduces the Heart Hug, which gives kids a simple, sweet way to feel close to their families and friends, even when they can’t be together. I love how heartfelt and comforting that is. It’s great for helping ease kids’ worries about being apart and improving their well-being. Melissa Garin’s writing is lyrical with easy rhymes and gentle language that young readers can understand and follow. The characters are adorable animals, and you end up loving them almost instantly. What really stuck with me is the way the story shows how love isn’t about distance—it stays with you, right in your heart. No object can hold onto memories or feelings the way love does. I enjoyed this book, and it’s perfect for anyone who wants to help kids cope when they’re missing someone special.
