The main character, Jessica Snow, in Accidental Lawyer by Kim Hamilton, is an ambulance chaser (website WANNASU) and not proud of it. Her advertisement photo is glued to the buses in town so she becomes a bit of a celebrity. Sometimes that’s not so bad. Her clientele ranges from a persistent bus rider, hoping to be involved in an accident that will rake in big dollars, to one who is connected to a mob boss, to a group class action case regarding unfriendly flush toilets. It’s beginning to look like she’s hanging out at fires to meet a handsome firefighter when her gun-toting landlady fakes the need for a fireman in order to help Jessica land a date. In the midst of all the on-going negotiations for her law suits, her boss is arrested for murder. Will an ambulance chaser kind of lawyer be good enough to solve this case?
Sassy and snarky; silly and simply a great read. I could not put this book down! Kim Hamilton’s Accidental Lawyer will have you turning page after page to find out what’s going to happen next. How can one book hold so much humor, mystery and a love story? If you enjoy Janet Evanovich, you will love Accidental Lawyer by Kim Hamilton. While the humor is great, so is the plot. The front cover pulled me in, but the story line kept me reading. It will do the same for you. I loved the book's ending, which holds a surprise for the reader and for Jessica herself. I’m recommending it to all my friends.
