Adjusted Reality by Sherry McAllister is a well-written book that shows readers how to reimagine their health and make decisions that benefit their whole being rather than focusing only on symptoms or a part of their being. Sherry begins by clarifying the myths, misconceptions, and misinformation associated with chiropractors, explaining how chiropractic treatment differs in healthcare as well as the three elements of neuroplasticity in motion. She further discusses the whole-being approach to sleep while emphasizing how it is influenced by seven key elements, including the brain, immune system, cardiovascular system, digestive system, and more. She also explores other crucial topics, such as the five collateral damage areas of ultra-processed food, adjustment, its importance and neurological effect, contentment, the chiropractic lifestyle list, and more.

This book transformed my perspective on healthcare and offered me options to achieve long-term positive outcomes for my health. The section that discussed food and sleep appealed to me and gave me moments to self-reflect and make some life-changing decisions, particularly on my consumption of alcohol and ultra-processed food. The barcodes were helpful, as they provided me with additional information and insights into most of the topics discussed. I commend the author for the stories, chiropractic insights, and quotes, which made this book more engaging and proved her to be a skilled writer. The writing is detailed, organized, well-paced, and easy to comprehend. I found this book to be both informative and motivating. It covers themes of health, philosophy, lifestyle, and more. I recommend Adjusted Reality by Sherry McAllister to anyone seeking to make knowledgeable health decisions and to all medical professionals.
