Winston James Witherspoon attends a grand picnic in the lands of Wynken, Blynken, and Nod, where many people and animals are having fun. He meets Charlie Prince, and the two strangers feel an instant connection while smoking, drinking, and chatting about trains. The two meet Polly, a woman who seems to recognize them. She instructs them to fetch Mary, a woman who stays in a cabin in the forest with a weird guy named Bob and his wife. They are to attend a party at the mansion on top of the hill. Not understanding why they were chosen for this mission, Winston and Charlie still do as they are told. After All The Jacks Are In Their Boxes is one of the most unpredictable stories I have ever read. Every detail was intriguing, from the storyline to the intriguing characters and odd songs. Winston and Charlie's adventure reminded me of The Wizard of Oz, and I loved reading about their journey. Giovanni Pirozzi has written an engaging and attention-grabbing story. I could not put the book down because I did not want to miss anything. Characters kept coming out of the woodwork, and each had a captivating presence and unusual personality. The entire story felt like a lucid dream with talking animals, aliens, and intoxicated creatures. I liked each character, from the Martians to the giant octopus and fashion designer elf. Despite its numerous characters, the story is easy to follow and understand. I enjoyed reading this book and recommend it to anyone who loves reading wild adventures.
