Alexander Joseph Kai was making his way to the bus stop through Kookburra Park when he was attacked. The knife plunged into his abdomen repeatedly. He found himself facing judgment. The judge admitted he died before his time. He was given a task to complete, unravel an unsolved case. They sent a helper to assist him, Davis, part angel. Ghost, Oliver Jones attached himself to Kai. Kai is the walking dead, not dead, not alive, and similar to a zombie.
Kai assignment was to solve a murder case. Two men and one woman were killed. The only common thread was the condition of the bodies. They were found in their individual bed, desiccated, mummified. He came face to face with a demon parasite.
Kai was a Necromancer with special powers that he was just beginning to discover.
Kai continues working for the Special Solutions agency. He solves the unsolvable mystery and hunts demons.
Metha Metharom offers readers a book filled with demon hunting. The genre is horror. However, I would consider it paranormal mystery. My favorite character was Oliver. He was a secondary character but I found him rather unique. Davis also appealed to me. Kai is very interesting. I enjoyed watching him evolve from story to story. The plot is out of the ordinary. Metharom takes a murder mystery and adds the supernatural aspect to it. Alexander Kai contains six short stories all sure to please a paranormal fan.
