In the mystery novel, An Itch for Danger (Izzie Di Sante Mysteries Book 3) by Christa Nardi, the body of a young woman was discovered on the Patapsco River two months previously, and now it is a cold case. Stella’s corpse was discovered miles from her home, and nobody knows where she was on the last night of her life. It doesn’t look like suicide, but no evidence of her murder can be found. Investigative reporter Izzie Di Sante is introduced to the case by her boyfriend, Henry. Together, Henry and Izzie start looking for clues. None of Stella’s friends or family seems to know anything helpful. The case doesn’t seem to be going anywhere until someone starts shadowing them. They must have hit a nerve, but whose? Is it possible that Stella was leading a secret life that no one was aware of?
An Itch for Danger by Christa Nardi is an entertaining amateur sleuth mystery. The storyline focuses on the main character, Izzie Di Sante. It covers her relationships, home life, and family troubles. The story is very descriptive and dives into the life and soul of Cenare, the family restaurant. The dynamics of the plot and characters are built into the storyline through dialogue and narrative. The story comes to an abrupt and surprising ending when the plot takes an unexpected twist, and I was not expecting the outcome. It promises to delight Izzie's new and old fans alike. Although this is the third book in a series, it does very well as a stand-alone.
