And So We Fight On by Samantha Grace is a beautiful collection of poems that revolve around the topic of truth, loss, faith, living and new beginnings. The author's ability to dream, enjoy the simple things in life, rejoice, and also experience life is reflected through her poetry. Many of the poems are rich in content and metaphor, capturing moments of life, fullness, diverse emotions and moments perfectly. Most of the poems reveal the poet's agony and angst as she shares some bittersweet memories with readers. The intensity and truth in the words of the poet is profound.

It is difficult for me to say which poem is good because all of them are emotionally connected to the poet. I liked the writing style and the economy of words, which add to the impact of the pieces. The minimalism in the words and the repetition of the word 'bleeding' in the poem 'Bleeding Out' works effectively to convey the poet's feeling. The frenetic pace and movement of words in the poem 'Why I Write (Ode to the Dead Poets)' works beautifully for the poem. All the poems resonate well with readers. Disillusionment, loss and many more feelings are captured well in the writing with a lot of feeling. 'Voices of the Sea' stands out in this collection for its wonderful imagery and great wordplay. On the whole, this book is an interesting read for all poetry lovers. 'A New Beginning' is the perfect ending to this superb collection.
