Award-winning author, Rick E. Norris, has taught the Bible to adults and Sunday school to teens for thirty-three years. Since 2011, he has volunteered as an international online missionary for a Christian non-profit where he disciples individuals and answers biblical questions. Angelic Wars, First Rebellion received several recognitions including second place in the 2020 Catholic Press Association for best novel. His book, Angelic Wars: End of the Beginning won best Christian Novel of 2022 in the New York City Big Book Awards. Rick E. Norris earned a bachelor’s degree from UCLA in 1979 and law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in 1985. He is a songwriter/musician and member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. He is the creator and the co-host of the Rambling Business podcast.

The revolt is in full swing as Lucifer and his rebellious cohorts make one final strategic push for control of the heavenly hosts' defenses. With his intentions to seize it all for himself and with his growing legion of fallen angels, it seems like it is only a matter of time before the victory horn sounds. Azariah and some of the angels who still prove steadfast in their loyalty to God try everything in their power to stem the tide of losses even as they question the course of action they had to take and the sometimes seemingly needless loss of their cohorts in this battle. Angelic Wars reads like a first-hand account of what happened during the first recorded rebellion in Christian history. I'd chalk this down to Rick E. Norris' exceptional style of telling his story. The attention to detail in the novel is impressive, right down to the names of individual angels and their strategic duties. The addition of Bible verses as reference points in the novel gives those readers who are of a studious orientation the opportunity to carry out their research on the book and the conversations between the characters in the story are deep, giving room for introspection. One aspect of the book that stood out for me was the songs of praise in it. It is only fitting for a book about angels to have one of their primary functions featured prominently in it. Angelic Wars is not your typical novel but its content will pique a reader's curiosity.
