Arklight: Task Force Crusader by J.M. Myrick is a thriller with strong religious themes that feature the quest for truth after recovering from the battle of Nashville. This time the Spear Team is determined to recover the Spear of Destiny and face the deadly operative known as Magnus O’Keefe. But there is more in store than the Spear of Destiny, there is an even more dangerous revelation: the Nazis have been silent for a while, but they haven’t forgotten a deadly mission started by Hitler. The shadowy Order of the Black Sun is about to unleash terror using a most powerful weapon. Can the Spear Team beat their enemies this time and take possession of the weapons that can destroy humanity?

J.M. Myrick writes a compelling thriller with a setting that cuts across different timelines and covers a history of 2000 years. The characters are phenomenal, richly developed, and rock-solid. Readers are introduced to an elite operative team on a dangerous quest and it is a race against the apocalypse. While the enemy is determined to bring destruction upon the world, this team is poised in the last fight to save history and humanity. The writing is gorgeous and it is easy for the reader to get pulled in by the strong and vivid descriptions, the well-written and focused scenes, and the exciting dialogues. I particularly enjoyed the sense of urgency that permeates the narrative. There is the feeling that something can happen any minute and that augments the adrenaline coursing through the characters. The unpredictability in the plot of Arklight: Task Force Crusader is one of the things that had me turning the pages. It is filled with Christian myth and references to history, an ingeniously plotted and expertly written story that keeps the reader riveted.

Arklight: Task Force Crusader is a work of thriller fiction which also focuses on some Christian and science fiction themes, and was penned by author J. M. Myrick. In this enticing thriller, which is suitable for readers who don’t mind some explicit language and mid-level violent scenes, we follow on with the team from previous novels Operation Nightfall and Force Interdiction. This time the enemy is clear: the special operative Magnus O’Keefe, whose interference is only the beginning of a time-spanning interdimensional plot that covers over two thousand years of human history. From the dangerous resurfacing of Nazi regimes to the new pieces of a terrifying weapon, the Spear Team must find the truth at the heart of this sinister plot before it’s too late.

Having read author J. M. Myrick’s work before, I knew I’d be getting some fantastic action scenes, powerful moments of cataclysmic terror and plenty of run for my money in this new Arklight installment. Whilst Myrick delivers all the guts and glory that one would usually expect to find as the Spear Team and the Alsos Team struggle on, this particular plot was an even bigger success than previous tales. For me, the combination of sinister psychological and genocidal plots from the past really upped the ante on the stakes, making every moment more emotionally charged and terrifying to read about. We also have deeper character development than ever, making the heroes more realistic and relatable as their struggles worsen. Overall, Arklight: Task Force Crusader makes another giant leap for science fiction and thriller novels.

Arklight: Task Force Crusader by J. M. Myrick is the third novel in the series where the fight between good and evil comes to a heart-stopping end. The Spear Team is out there trying to find the truth and making sure people are safe from the clutches of evil. They know they cannot save everyone, but they will try their hardest and fight until the end. They are not fighting blindly anymore, they know who they are fighting and they know how they can defeat him. The only issue is they need to get the Spear of Destiny and that is not easy. If they want to win this fight and save the world from an impending end, they need to stand their ground. This is the battle that could save them all ... or it could end it all.

Arklight: Task Force Crusader by J. M. Myrick is a story that needs to be read by anyone who is a fan of action and thriller genres. All the characters are very well-developed, but Ian and John stood out to me the most. They lead the story in their own way and they do the best they can. The author has done a great job of creating a universe that is not only believable but is actually very real. The flow is great, the story progresses wonderfully and you don’t get a moment to put the book down. There are a lot of characters that might intimidate some readers, but don’t let it because each character adds another layer of a complex plot that you will love to unravel. A brilliant novel and perfectly executed!
