Nathan isn’t a fantastical man. In fact, he’s never even thought about the world of magic and mystery. Instead, Nathan is content to live out his life as a scholar, a historian, perhaps taking a sabbatical now and again to conduct research, but certainly never doing anything exciting or dangerous. But that all changes when a mysterious letter, written by his best friend hundreds of years before his friend was even alive, surfaces. Nathan is now out to discover the secrets of Carthage, Wisconsin, and why his best friend vanished without a trace six months ago. What happens next will lead him down a path he never thought possible. Autumn in Carthage is definitely going to be strange for everyone.

Nathan is one of those characters that you just can’t seem to help liking. He’s an interesting person, he’s kind to those around him, and he never gives up on his friends, no matter how crazy the situation may seem. He’s the friend we all wish we could be. Of course, there’s also several other interesting characters from Alanna to Hilde. And of course everyone seems to have secrets in Carthage. This book is one that you will not be able to put down, whether you’re a history buff, a romance lover, or a fantasy aficionado. Autumn in Carthage by Christopher Zenos has a little bit of something for everyone and it’s definitely going to amaze you with the many twists and turns that jump out at you from nowhere.
