I have to admit that I did an internet search on Cranky Otter, Arkansas to see if the town really existed. I wanted to visit this town on my next vacation. C.J. Winters brings this fictional town to life along with its citizens.

Danica’s Antiques was located in a building dating back to 1892; the town of Cranky Otter was small. Autumn Renfro wondered if she was making a mistake. Things had changed and life had to go on. She was now a widow, just as her mother had been when Danica’s Antiques first opened. Her mother had passed away six weeks ago. Danica’s now belonged to her, and she would reopen the antique store. She had only been open a few hours when she met two very handsome, but very different men. Kevin Channing seemed safe, but Brann Havelock seemed volatile. Brann worked for Winslow-Holden Development; they had a plan to commercialize the town. Strange things were happening to her since she moved to Otter Creek; she saw things that happened long ago.

Autumn In Cranky Otter is a delightful read by C.J. Winters. The characters are well-developed. I was rooting for Brann from the beginning. Brann and Autumn play well off each other. The plot is well- developed and interesting. I look forward to reading more about Cranky Otter. Fans of romance will not want to miss Autumn In Cranky Otter.

Autumn Renfro is a twenty-something widow who pulls up stakes and moves to Cranky Otter, a little rural town in Arkansas. Her mother has recently passed away and Autumn inherits her antique shop.
Almost immediately upon her arrival in Cranky Otter, Autumn soon grabs the attention of two eligible bachelors. Kevin, a photographer and Chamber of Commerce representative is a sweet, trustworthy, marriage-minded man. Brann is a dark enigma who is in Cranky Otter to try to sway the residents into allowing their town to be developed into a tourist spot.
Autumn's female relatives all have some sense of ESP, which has eluded Autumn all her life but now seems to have kicked in shortly after her arrival in town. With this new gift that she can't quite control, comes danger and mystery but also it brings self-realization and ultimate fulfillment.
Autumn in Cranky Otter is a well written gem filled with well drawn characters and a riveting, believable plot that gives the reader a taste of romance, paranormal and mystery all rolled into one satisfying read.
