J.R. Wirth is an award-winning author and native of Southern California. Raised in Azusa, he now hails from San Bernardino. J.R. is recognized for his extensive work in the helping field. He is a licensed psychotherapist with a long list of accomplishments, including a 15-year stretch as a domestic violence counselor and trainer, and head of a disaster response team. J.R. had a stint as a university professor, and even spent time as a child abuse investigator, which was the inspiration for the book and added to the authenticity of the story.

Fast forward thirty-one years later, and we see social worker Jennifer and her colleagues investigating crimes of violence and abuse against children. Elsewhere, notorious child abuser Kate Montalvo has just been released from prison where she and her husband had inflicted horrific torture and violence on the children in their care. Her husband killed himself in prison. Now Kate hopes to make a new life for herself and put her past behind her. However, she is murdered soon after, and that sparks a series of horrific murders of other child abusers. Jennifer has her suspicions that the murderer could be one of her work colleagues. She partners with her one ally, Joe, and together they try to catch the killer before they can strike again. Will it be someone close to them, or another member of the child abuse prevention team in the Karma Klub? Prepare to be taken on a journey of intrigue, love, and suspense.
If you enjoy a story that has twists, turns and surprises throughout, then this is the perfect book for you. The way the writer has described child abuse is so chilling that it makes your spine tingle. The story line was exceptional and drew you into the lives of the characters. Each character is well constructed and the subject has been clearly well researched. The author can build a scene that is so realistic, it touches every one of your senses. A superb story from start to finish with tension and thrills throughout. The ending was not what I was expecting at all and had an excellent and clever twist. When I thought I knew what was going to happen, the author would take me in another direction. This is a perfect story for anyone who likes a good thriller and whodunit. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and take you on an emotional and memorable journey.
