“Be the Sunshine: Share the Light and Spread the Joy,” written by Angela Thomas and illustrated by Christine Adolph, is the perfect gift book for any woman who may need a little bit of encouragement in her life. This book is divided into nine chapters or sections. Each section begins with a quote and then it contains a story, either Angela’s own story or another that she shares with the reader and verses from the Holy Bible. Angela shares how the phrase “Go be the sunshine” became their family motto. This book will encourage you to make this your motto and to live with God being a part of your life, really asking for His forgiveness and accepting Him into your heart and live and then really living your life while being that sunshine that shares God’s love throughout daily living and interactions with others.
This is a beautiful book; every single page is unique and lovely! The artwork is both stunning and soothing and the layout of each page is well-done and appealing to the eye. This book is a quick read, but it is a book that you will want to take your time reading so that each page can be savored, both the words and the artwork. This is a book that will be read and looked at over and over again in a moment of feeling down and needing encouragement or in moments of needing reminders of being the sunshine. This book is an excellent choice as a gift for each and every woman.
