The benefits and challenges of working remotely are applicable to firms of different natures such as a start up, small businesses or a large production center. The basic tenets of Trust, Respect and Teamwork are then discussed and how these are quite significant in this technology intensive area of remote stations, networking, screen sharing systems, video chats and others. Jarkko also takes a rather interesting peep into what changes the future is likely to bring to this field.
Better Remote Work: Do It Right, And Reap the Benefits by Jarkko Oksanen is a book for the present to prepare for the future. As the author says, every remote work team has its own issues, and in each place the solution need not be the same or comparable. But the things that are mentioned in this book being the ones that helped in every case, the solutions or the approach suggested by Jarkko have the potential to be of great help to those desirous of entering this field of business, which is likely to be of necessity in the days to come. The book is well written and the new ideas are developed logically.
