Birdie's Big-Girl Hair by Sujean Rim is another book in the fun fashion Birdie Series for children. In this one, it’s time for Birdie to get a haircut to tame that wild and unruly hair of hers. Using her imagination and looking through magazines, she tries to pick the perfect hairstyle. After an exciting day at the salon, she absolutely loves her hair. Of course, like all children do, she goes out to play and have fun. She’s upset when she realizes that her hair is a little messed up. That is when her mommy reminds her that she looks beautiful just the way she is.
Sujean Rim’s Birdie's Big-Girl Hair is such a cute story with a great message for kids. A lot of little girls want to look like their mothers, but this story shows that they can be just as beautiful as who they are as individuals. Not only is this a fantastic story, but it is also filled with unique drawings and paintings that include different papers and fabrics to showcase the fashion that Birdie truly enjoys. I absolutely loved the illustrations. It shows how talented and creative Rim really is. This is a great book and definitely worth reading with your daughters. I sure will be doing this!
