Blended Hearts is a Christian romance novella by Elle H. Raye. Aside from volunteering as a counselor with friends at a church youth group, Madison Vanguard wants to attend Texas A&M just like her grandfather. She also cares deeply for her friends, Jimmy John Porter and Abbi Horton. Unbeknownst to Madison, though, Jimmy John is in love with her. When Taylor Sanderson moves into the empty house in the neighborhood, the Vanguard family learns of her tragic past and goes above and beyond to help her settle into her new home. Meanwhile, Abbi injures her leg during a hike, and despite her family's neglectful attitude toward her, Madison and Jimmy John do everything to support her. But tragedy strikes when a fire burns down the Vanguard home. Can they prevail? Will Jimmy John open up to Madison about his feelings?
This is a fascinating story with romance, heart, and drama. Blended Hearts is captivating from beginning to end, touching upon themes of faith, family, friendship, and community love. There is something pure and wholesome about Elle H. Raye's tale that you can't help but love, and the ending leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling that is sure to brighten your day. The narrative is mainly character-driven. Raye has created some immensely likable salt-of-the-earth characters who find a way to tug at your heartstrings. From the very beginning, you can feel the chemistry between Madison and Jimmy John and root for them to end up together. I also loved how Madison and her parents always strive to help others in need. If you're in the mood for something that warms your heart, this is just the book for you.
