Boundless Sea, book three of the Sacred Breath Series by Nadia Scrieva, starts us off on a sad note. The pregnant queen and her sister are still missing and the kingdom of Adlivun is in turmoil. The world has been made aware of the existence of the undersea kingdom and Adlivun is willing to co-operate with the government, hoping for some help in fighting a common enemy, the Clan of Zalcan. General Visola is fiercely using all her power, wit, and manipulative skills to get her way and, with the help of her husband, to protect her dear ones. Trevain is devastated by the fact that his wife is missing and Elandria has became even more timid and withdrawn. Queen Aazuria on the other hand, is still being held by Prince Zalcan Hamnil; and she will need all her will and strength if she is ever going to survive and go back to her people.

Once again, Nadia Scrieva delivered an amazing story and then some. The story gets more intense and more engaging with every new book that is published. Boundless Sea has showcased all the main characters more by showing the personality of each as they face excruciatingly trying times. The story still takes us through the beautiful, breathtaking underworld, but it is marred by several sad moments. Not that there is anything wrong with that; it only highlights Nadia's writing skill more by the way she manages to blend these sad moments in the story and still put a smile on your face. I totally loved the first two books, but book three made me add Nadia Scrieva to my list of favorite authors. The series is addictive and I am immediately grabbing book 4 after this.

Boundless Sea (Sacred Breath, Book 3) by Nadia Scrieva is the third in the series of Sacred Breath. Trevain Murphy is not equipped to face the political unrest looming large over his wife Queen Aazuria's kingdom, Adlivun. The Queen is taken away and he is unable to cope on his own. He turns to Princess Elandria, his wife's younger sister, for help. The Princess is actually not fit for the post, due to her personal problems. The greatest threat the kingdom faces is from a foreign submarine superpower, the Clan of Zalcan. Visola Ramaris, General of the clan goes against the tradition of remaining hidden and reveals herself to the Americans and appeals for help. In the meantime, the captured Queen is struggling with the living conditions in a lonely place and she wants to find a way to get back to her husband. Will she be able to reach Adlivun in time to save her Kingdom? Before that, will she be able to save herself from the enemies holding her captive?

The story has many sub-plots which have been woven with expertise into the main story. The most important characters are Aazuria Vellamo, Trevain Murphy, Visola Ramaris, Vachlan Suchos, Elandria Vellamo, Sionna Ramaris and Prince Zalcan Hamnil. These characters have been powerfully developed as they play the most important part in the book. Like any fantasy novel, this book is also filled with adventure, intrigue, suspense, kingdoms, princes, and princesses. The book evokes a lot of emotions in readers with its twists and turns. The story has a little bit of everything that makes it a compelling story.

A Diplomatic thriller of a different kind, Boundless Sea (Sacred Breath Series, Book 3) by Nadia Scrieva has all of the action and intrigue of its cousins on dry land, wrapped up in an underwater world. With Queen Aazuria, ruler of Adlivun missing, Trevain Murphy is forced into a quest to find his beloved wife and fight both modern and ancient battles in order to restore the kingdom and preserve the peace of the two worlds to which he belongs. With Aazuria missing, her younger sister Princess Elandria needs to step up and assume control of the administration of the kingdom, but she is useless in her state of depression. There is an increasing threat from the Clan of Zalcan and the military leadership is working on obtaining a more powerful form of protection. Adlivun’s diplomats are invited to an APEC conference to work out an agreement, but the price is much too high for them to accept. The task of survival is in the hands of Trevain. Will he be united with his queen? Will Adlivun be able to survive while being squeezed on every side?

The creativity of the story line in Boundless Sea (Sacred Breath Series, Book 3) as well as the series makes it a very captivating read. Nadia Scrieva has spent many painstaking hours in constructing a plausible story line which, though it takes place in fictional kingdoms under the sea, rings with realism. The development of both plot and characters draws readers to an emotional empathy that keeps them turning pages while the suspenseful action unravels. Suspenseful, creative and realistic, Boundless Sea (Sacred Breath Series, Book 3) does an excellent job of advancing the series and keeping it alive with both action and intrigue that will not only please those reading the series, but draw plenty more to it.
