Broken Lenses Volume 3: Experiencing God's Freedom in a World of Sin is the final volume in Emily Bernath’s three-part biblical devotional series. Bernath shares her testimony in twelve chapters as she relates God’s influence over her life. Through the words and teachings of Jesus Christ, the author gives clear examples of God’s loving nature as she breaks down the verses from the New International Version (NIV) Bible. Definitions address the focus of each chapter and help clarify the material. Prayers close each chapter after parts of Bernath’s personal story, scripture, discussion of the scripture and how it applied to her life, and questions for consideration and reflection are delivered.
A beautiful story of healing and personal and spiritual growth, Emily Bernath’s testimony will appeal to readers from wherever they are on their spiritual journey. The book can be read daily, but its structure begs for careful consideration of the material and allows readers to absorb the text at their own pace. As a rape survivor, the author speaks from the heart, conveying Jesus-centered lessons with an intimate account of her experiences. It’s easy to see that Bernath was called to write, as she easily produces prayers for readers to use if they have difficulty with certain areas and/or phrasing requests to God. As a lovely gift of gratitude, a free e-book edition is available to you or a friend with the purchase of this book. Broken Lenses Volume 3 is a great selection for readers who have had a similar experience as the author or who enjoy reading uplifting devotionals and testimonials.
