Bruno’s Best Birthday is a touching story by Megan Deliberto that celebrates the power of friendship and the hard work we put into making the people we love special. The story is about the polar bear, Bruno, and the bearded dragon, Anthony, who live together in the zoo and have a good relationship. The story begins with Bruno saying his birthday is approaching, which makes Anthony happy. But Bruno seems content with the simple celebration planned by the zookeepers, including a birthday sign and giant ice cubes. This prompted Anthony to plan a big birthday party for Bruno despite the problems. Anthony embarks on a mission throughout the story to join other surprisingly good creatures. Sofia, the young giraffe, Dylan, the bottlenose dolphin, and Grayson, the African elephant, give Bruno special gifts. Donovan, a black and white spider monkey, has a special gift for Bruno.
This story shows Anthony's determination to make Bruno's birthday memorable despite obstacles such as walls and restrictions.
