Every child has a dream to be a teacher, astronaut or a firefighter but one day when Joey, Charlie's friend, decided he wanted to be an Olympic cross-country skier, Charlie thought it was impossible because Joey only had one leg. In this easy to read book, Charlie, Dare to Dream! (Charlie's Fables) by D. C. Gomez, children will learn what possibilities, hope, determination, and friendship look like through the eyes of Charlie and Joey. While Charlie had a vision of his own ideal dream, it was Joey that made him realize there are no limitations on dreaming, even with a physical handicap or limitation. Not only does this beautifully illustrated children's book teach children to dream big but the author encourages your child to dream and plan it out by doing the various activity exercises at the end of the book. Your child will learn how to reflect, plan and connect.
I loved this book because career day was one of my favorite days in school. It was exciting to see what other children wanted to be and to have adults come in to talk about their careers was mind-blowing for me as a kid. This book shows that dreaming incites creativity, passion, and something to look forward to in the future. A lot of the things that we enjoy today happened because someone dared to dream. Get your copy of this book and help your child explore, stretch and push to conquer their dreams. You will see that your child will make this one of their favorite books and possibly will want to share it with their friends.
