Coercion by Amar Alwitry is the story of a man who is trying to discover himself when there is a great enemy out for his blood. Jo is not living the happy life he envisioned himself living. He was adopted and he had no idea why he was given up. His life has become a great mystery. His biological parents had a tattoo of a dolphin done on his skin and he cannot find out why they did that. His life is really not what he wants. He hates his job and his life is simply miserable.

The only good thing in his life is his love, Seren, and he does not want to let that go. However, his life takes a strange turn when he is mugged one night. His life becomes even stranger, his whole self changes. And now there is a group that wants to have him killed and they will do anything to get what they want. Can he save his life and discover his past?

Coercion may sound like a train wreck, but it is not. It is a smooth sail. Once you start it, you cannot put it down. The mystery and the thrill of the novel are really amazing. You get sucked into Jo’s world and you don’t want to get out until you know everything. It is written with a lot of charm. The dialogues are crisp and very revealing about the characters. It is definitely a novel that you would like to read again. It is really good.
