Coming Home: Windsor Peak is about a man who is wounded in the war and comes home to heal mentally and physically. It is an emotionally moving story by Denise Latham that had me hooked from the start until the end. Once I started reading, I could not put it down. I had to know what would happen next, and the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters were authentic and so relatable. They could have been anyone I know. Jake had a decent support network and was willing to get the help he needed. I enjoyed the growing romance between Jake and Shea. This story is beautifully written and was much more than I expected. I had no idea how challenging it is to reintegrate into family life after serving in the military.
