Daisy Dooley is a character that you would want to have as your best friend. She is just fun and wacky. She is just as confused as the rest of us who do not want to admit we are confused. This is ironic, because she is a self-help addict. She is nearing her 40’s, divorced, without promise of a committed relationship, and childless. To Daisy, this is the epitome of failure.
To Jess, a free-spirited friend of Daisy, the single, childless life is the highlife. Why complicate life with love? Lucy, another friend, is the perfect suburban trophy wife and mother. However, Lucy is envious of Daisy’s freedom.
Are any of them truly happy? Will they all find love and themselves? Are the answers to love, life, and self-awareness in a self-help book? Most importantly, who is going to shag whom?
“Daisy Dooley Does Divorce” is addictive from the beginning. I began reading it on a treadmill, and I lost track of time. I have read at night with a pen light, as to not wake my husband. This is impossible to put down. Get your copy and take the journey to enlightenment Daisy-style.
