Dangerous Care by M.M. Cameron is an intriguing tale of romance and suspense. It starts off right away with a gripping beginning as we are introduced to Kathryn, a young physiotherapist about to make a house call to a new patient. Kathryn does not know much about Madoc Pearson, and is surprised to find that he does not want her medical treatment and, in fact, actively discourages it. There is an instant awareness and chemistry between them that develops as the plot thickens. However, this isn’t just a simple story of love or romance. Madoc’s life is shrouded in mystery as he tries to keep people safe and Kathryn is involuntarily drawn into it as well. Can their initial attraction survive the odds of intrigue and danger? This is what forms the plot of the novel.
I found Dangerous Care by M.M. Cameron to be an engaging and gripping story which kept me turning the pages until the end. I really liked the fact that this book isn’t just a typical romance novel and instead is a mix of several different genres, including mystery, suspense, thriller, drama, and of course, romance. I thought the writing was taut and gripping and the portrayal of the characters, including the main protagonists, was very relatable. The action scenes in Dangerous Care felt real and dangerous and I thoroughly enjoyed the interaction between the characters, and especially Madoc’s intriguing personality. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book that offers some extra spice and suspense to a novel, and would recommend it.
