Author Biography

In the face of a maternal healthcare crisis, where women's lives are increasingly at risk, knowledge becomes power.

As a doctor, I was unprepared for my postpartum recovery. I realized that if I was so blindsided, so were other women. My own postpartum struggles and the research they inspired revealed that the answer to this crisis is deceptively simple: empowering moms and families with knowledge and simple daily practices.

In POST, I created a groundbreaking guide that sheds light on a stark reality: maternal mortality rates are soaring, yet most of these deaths are preventable.

Beyond the delivery room, postpartum women face another danger: increased risk of chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, metabolic syndrome, chronic anxiety and depression, haunting them long after childbirth.

POST challenges the status quo, and offers a solution: empowerment through education. With meticulous research and expert guidance, I navigate expectant mothers through the vital process of creating a Postpartum Self-Care Plan.

This Plan is not just theory: it's a tangible lifeline, safeguarding both mental and cardiometabolic health. It's a roadmap, outlining simple research-backed steps necessary for optimal wellness in pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.

POST dismantles the misinformation surrounding pregnancy and postpartum. In it, I provide clear, evidence-based advice, empowering mothers-to-be and their families to identify myths and truth.

It's a trusted companion supporting women's health and alerting women on when to seek medical help.

POST is my love letter to all new mamas, who deserve the care necessary to become the parents they envision.
