Dark Moon is penned by author Paul L. Nowicki in the science fiction, interpersonal drama, and action genres, and is the second novel in the Quantum Triangle Series. It is best suited to the general adult reading audience. In this thrilling continuation, Alex and Zandra advance their Quantum Triangle superposition technology for interstellar travel in the Beta-27 universe. Supported by the World Space Station astronaut team, they aim to save an endangered planet. Amidst fulfilling their noble mission, they are unexpectedly drawn back to the Rho-1 universe, a realm dominated by weapons, war, and a greedy sociopathic leader. This unexpected detour threatens their dreams and the peace they strive to achieve.

Author Paul L. Nowicki has utilized suspense and excitement in crafting a thrilling journey through the complexities of interstellar travel and the moral dilemmas of planets in danger. The continuation of Alex and Zandra’s story was captivating, and their quest to save a planet highlighted their dedication and innovative spirit with vivid, interesting dialogue. The juxtaposition of the hopeful, collaborative Beta-27 universe against the violent, destructive Rho-1 universe created a compelling narrative tension. I felt a deep admiration for the protagonists as they navigated these contrasting worlds, facing immense challenges with a keen sense of pacing and some brilliant discoveries and twists. The portrayal of the greedy, sociopathic leader was handled with complexity and real-world relevance, offering a close narrative focus with realistic characters and attitudes that mirrored contemporary issues of power and corruption. Overall, Dark Moon is a fascinating and well-written work of science fiction that beautifully balances an action-packed plot with relevant, thoughtful themes. I would not hesitate to recommend it.
