Dawn of the Dominant by Vipin Suren is a fantasy adventure steeped in magic that is geared for the pre-teen audience. We will meet a group of siblings that have each been given special and unique magical powers and a deep desire to fulfill their destiny. When this family group learns that their grandfather, an evil king from a distant planet, wants to make planet Earth come under his control, and that he also is the one who was responsible for the death of their father, they decide to take on a journey of revenge and salvation. They want to save Earth from anarchy and destruction and avenge their dead father. The enemy is not a pushover, however, and it will take everything they have to face and stare down the consequences of what taking on this evil means.

I have to say that, going in, I expected a fun book but not much substance due to the author's young age. I am happy to say I was proven completely wrong on that count. Vipin Suren has written a deeply involved adventure with magic and heroics galore. The world that has been created is amazing and well detailed so that you can easily get lost within the pages of the story. This book is fast paced and the flow is fantastic. While it may be geared for a pre-teen audience, adults will have a great time reading this as well. If you are looking for a magical adventure that has a family message within as well, this is going to be a great book for you.
