In Destination Adventure by Karen Jonice Bricker, Kit, her parents, brothers Kevin and Dick, and dog Jesse know that the next adventure is about to begin when Dad starts to fill his pants pockets to the brim with all types of balls and yo-yos. The family is consumed with curiosity and ready for the next odyssey of meeting new people and discovering new places, and they never know where they will end up. Destination Adventure by Karen Jonice Bricker is an ideal book for children of all ages. The book is filled with beautiful illustrations to help tell the story and will take the child reader on a wonderful adventure as they travel with the family to places unknown. As the family begin their travels, they land in Maine. In Maine they find an old sea captain’s house near the dock; this is where the adventures begin.
Everyone loves a great destination adventure. Adventure is the number one reason why we look forward to it. I loved the story and illustrations of Destination Adventure by Karen Jonice Bricker. It shows how much fun you can have if you just let it happen and not plan everything. As children, they see things differently than the parents so it was interesting how Karen told the story through the eyes of one of the children, Kit. If you are looking for a great children’s story with lovely illustrations, picking up a copy of Destination Adventure by Karen Jonice Bricker is a good choice.
