Author Biography

Hi, my name is on my banner, and so is the name of my book. I’m a software engineer on disability, diagnosed with autism, ADHD, and at times anxiety and depression.

In 2021, I stopped using these as an excuse and discovered that I am actually far from disabled. Thus, I am now on a mission to get a job and go off disability. As a result of writing countless cover letters, thank you emails, web pages, etc., I have become just as good at writing sentences as I is at writing software.

I wrote my first book in 2023 because many people have found my writing to be inspirational. I hope it inspires other people to "stop saying you can't and to believe that you can" (Readers' Favorite).

Doug Osborne Does Not Quit covers 2021 and the start of my mission, while I am working hard to complete my mission so I can write the ending to the sequel, Not Today! “Not Today” is what I say to my banner twice a day: first, as my morning prayer, and then later to celebrate because I DID NOT QUIT today!

Having ADHD, being on the Autism spectrum, and battling depression could not stop him from reaching his goals and accomplishing independence. So what is your excuse for not achieving your goals? This book can encourage you to continue until you have completed your goals.

Some say that being on the Autism spectrum, having ADHD, and battling depression make you disabled. Doug Osborne does not know the meaning of disabled. I wouldn't say I like the term disabled. My son has uncontrolled epilepsy and is on the spectrum. He is not disabled, but he is differently abled. In Doug Osborne Does Not Quit, the author shows that people are not disabled but may do things differently. In a down-to-earth manner, Doug shares his desires and goals. He shares the struggles he faced buying a house for the first time. He shares his strength and determination. It will motivate and inspire you to stop saying you can’t and to believe that you can; this will lead you to accomplish great things. Doug is an inspiration to all who know him or read his book.

This is an incredible journey from a man that just does not quit! I know Doug to be a true genius, but saddled with severe emotional issues. As was Einstein and many others.

He is a brilliant "code warrior" but an even better author. Want inspiration? Read this!
