Dragon Wing is a young adult epic fantasy novel written by Rebecca K. Busch. Born with dragon wings, unlike any other person in the village of Northwood, Sigrun always felt withdrawn from the rest. However, when she finds her father murdered by an unknown assailant, Sigrun sees no choice but to leave her peaceful village to seek out the killer and her missing brother, Merik. Her search down south leads her to a solitary warrior named Khalon from the Skar tribe, who warns her of an impending attack by his people on Northwood. Initially distrusted, Khalon soon becomes a loyal friend as he trains the villagers for an upcoming battle with the Skar led by the cruel Mantus. Can Sigrun fulfill her prophesied destiny?

Author Rebecca K. Busch spins an imaginative yarn filled with action, romance, humor, and magic that will entertain fantasy lovers. With an intricate plot that moves at a breakneck pace, the narrative keeps your eyes glued to the pages with its twists and turns. The characters are well-developed and easy to root for. Sigrun is a likable protagonist, and her evolution from an insecure teenager feeling lost after her father's death to a confident young woman inspiring others makes for a compelling character arc. I particularly enjoyed the burgeoning love triangle between Sigrun, Khalon, and Jae. The battle scenes are described vividly, and they add a lot of tension to the narrative. If you're a fan of young adult fantasy novels, Dragon Wing is the book for you.
