In Drops of Sunlight, Kristy Lee tells the story of two childhood neighbors, Miranda and Dylan, who were best friends while growing up. They shared a lot of happy memories and had loved each other since they were young. However, Miranda, alias May, moved out while she was fourteen due to her parents' separation. Miranda left without saying goodbye to her best friend. The incident changed Miranda's life and things were not the same anymore. She became addicted to alcohol just to get rid of her pain.
