Cornerstone Deep Echoes - Book 2 by Charlene A. Wilson is the second part of the series. This book is as interesting as Book 1. Mianna is back in Cole's life but there is still a large amount of Anna in her. Both Mianna and Cole find that part to forget and they find it difficult to handle. Lord Dressen is still keen on having Anna back in his life. Lord Dressen has the power to see his past lives with the help of the magical pearl. He is also able to manipulate the emotions of others. Those who enjoyed the first book will definitely relish this book too.
The book is a romance that touches on past lives and rebirth. This paranormal angle makes it an exciting read. The different personalities of the Shilo brothers have been well defined by the author. Those who were disappointed with the abrupt ending of Book 1 can now be happy. The presence of the magic pearl is fascinating. The magic pearl and its properties take the story to another dimension.
Lord Dressen's obsession for Mianna forms the somber angle of the book. It is so powerful that he will do anything to possess her. Cole's struggle to continue his love with Mianna, in spite of Lord Dressen's dark presence, makes the story very exciting and adds that bit of intrigue and suspense. All the characters are skillfully etched by the author. I look forward to reading the next part of this series to find out where the author will take us.
