Eudora Space Kid: The Greatest Matchmaker in Space! by David Horn is a hilarious sci-fi book for children. Young Eudora lives on a spaceship called the AstroLiner in Athena. With an octopus as a dad and a wolf as a mom, Eudora has seen all kinds of cool and space-tastic creatures. Occasionally, Eudora and others living on the spaceship must defeat enemies. But this time, Eudora faces a different enemy, unlike any she's faced before; love! She notices Captain Jax sitting alone, looking sad and hopeless. Eudora decides to approach him and make sure that he is all right. She then discovers what ails the captain and comes up with the perfect plan to help him achieve his wish of being romantically involved with Miss Allison, who happens to be one of Eudora's teachers. Will Eudora's plan work out? Or will it all go haywire?

Eudora Space Kid: The Greatest Matchmaker in Space! is an extremely well-written book by the talented David Horn. I had the pleasure of reading a Eudora book before and was impressed with how Horn's talents have progressed. The storylines he comes up with are incredibly imaginative, and the characters' illustrations help picture the storyline playing out in your head. My attention was kept throughout as Horn's words sucked me in from the moment I began. This book is a perfect choice for anyone looking for a boredom breaker. I hope to read more about Eudora's adventures soon.

The Greatest Matchmaker in Space! is the fourth book of the Eudora Space Kid series by David Horn. She may be a third grader, but young Eudora has lofty ambitions and can't wait for the day to come when she replaces Fraser as the chief engineer of the Athena, the lead spaceship of the Planetary Republic's AstroFleet. As a child prone to mischief, Eudora sneaks into the engine room, where she comes across Captain Jax looking unusually sad. When asked about it, the captain reveals he is nervous about asking Miss Allison, Eudora's third-grade teacher, on a date. Confident in herself, Eudora assures Jax that she will get him the date with Miss Allison. So, with her friend Arnold, Eudora sets out to become the best matchmaker in space and unite Captain Jax and Miss Allison.

Eudora Space Kid: The Greatest Matchmaker in Space! is another absorbing adventure in space featuring the ever-charming mischief-monger, Eudora. This time, Eudora is busy playing the matchmaker, trying to unite two people in the most ingenious way possible. David Horn's sci-fi adventure tale will delight kids and young adults alike. All the characters have notable quirks and spunky personas that make them memorable, leaving their mark on us. Judit Tondora's beautifully drawn illustrations are the icing on the cake and bring the characters to life. As the story is set on the spaceship Athena, kids are bound to develop an interest in space and science fiction as they read about Eudora's adventures. Highly recommended.

Eudora is a space kid living and studying in the AstroLiner Athena with her big sister Molly and their adoptive parents from the planets Pow and Pox that belong to the Planetary Republic. Eudora, a curious third grader, dreams of becoming an engineer, and she has already made some progress. But the life of a space kid on this huge ship exploring the Milky Way and protecting the galaxy from evil aliens can be difficult. Eudora does not always find a common purpose with Molly. She is also known for her tendency to get into trouble on the ship. But Eudora has a big heart and hastens to help Captain Jax invite her teacher, Miss Allison, out on their first date. Will Miss Allison agree to meet the captain who can't stand children on his bridge? Find out in Eudora Space Kid: The Greatest Matchmaker in Space! by David Horn.

Eudora Space Kid has a detailed setting described with sparkling humor by David Horn. I appreciated his writing style and the amazing multilayered characters he created. Eudora can be mean to her big sister, Molly, but she is always ready to apologize. Eudora sees her challenges from an engineer's perspective and explains the right approach to problem-solving, which makes the book both inspiring and educational for children. Molly, sometimes an annoying big sister, urges Eudora to be sensitive to the feelings of others. The author raises the topic of tolerance in a non-preachy way. Eudora's mom looks like a big wolf, and her dad has the features of an octopus, but that does not prevent this family from loving and accepting each other. Vibrant illustrations by the gifted Judit Tondora complement the text. The many twists in the plot will hold the attention of young readers until the end of this engaging story. It is the fourth in a series and a wonderful sci-fi book for children from five to eleven years of age.

Eudora Space Kid: The Greatest Matchmaker in Space! by David Horn is the story of a third-grade girl, Eudora, who lives with her sister, mom, and dad on a spaceship. Eudora hopes to be an engineer as early as high school because she loves maths, science, and problem-solving. To help make her dream a reality, she plans to help Captain Jax by making one of his dreams a reality. Captain Jax has a crush on her teacher, Miss Allison. Eudora puts her epic scheming to the ultimate test by planning a double date for Captain Jax and Miss Allison, and she ropes in her best friend, Arnold, to help with her plan. Whether Eudora will achieve it is unclear because it's something far out of her comfort zone; she knows very little about adults and love. It's hilarious to read about whether her problem-solving skills can help her realize two dreams, hers and Captain Jax's.

Eudora Space Kid: The Greatest Matchmaker in Space! by David Horn is an entertaining, humorous, fun, and light-hearted children's book. I loved Eudora's mischievous yet charismatic personality that drives the narrative and ignites the charm of the supporting characters throughout. The storyline is simplistic yet enjoyable because the unique aspects of each character come across strongly in their dialogue with only one or more lines. Eudora's humor is subtle yet apparent, making it enjoyable. One can indeed fall in love with Eudora's character, which is both flawed and charming. Children will love reading it; I certainly did.

When Eudora is not trying to get at her near-perfect older sister, she is busy investigating one mystery or the other on the Astroliner. This time she chances upon Captain Jax in a sad mood. Once he pours out his heart to our little friend, she takes it upon herself to find a solution to his problem. Eudora will need to call in every favor if she wants to meet the captain's expectations; this might come at a cost as it will involve recruiting not just her good friend and partner in crime, Arnold, but her big sister, Molly. Can she pull off the perfect date? Only time will tell in Eudora Space Kid: The Greatest Matchmaker In Space! by David Horn.

Love is in the air in the storyline of David Horn's Eudora Space Kid: The Greatest Matchmaker In Space! Well written and easy for young ones to follow, credit must also go to Judit Tondora for the exciting pictures that tell aspects of the story that might not be obvious. Horn's engaging tale is expertly told from the point of view of a child, and he goes so far as to include the oddities you would expect from young readers, especially when it comes to getting their spelling correct. The characters are colorful with neatly arranged origin stories for those unfamiliar with the Eudora Space Kid series, and their conversations are interesting. I particularly like the way Horn links his subplots into a satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed reading this book.
