The role of a leader goes beyond any industry. The objective is to create an environment where each person can give their best to face new challenges. That's why it's fundamental to keep learning and growing. In Even Better Leadership, Jenn Christison shares her vast experience as an improvement consultant, guiding us to take control of our projects practically. She includes many thought-provoking questions that encourage creativity and help us visualize how to achieve our goals. The author begins with fundamental concepts such as setting direction and monitoring progress. She then delves into key topics such as teamwork, feedback, and decision-making. Each aspect includes practical exercises that help readers to apply the concepts.

Every detail of Even Better Leadership has been carefully analyzed to offer us the best. This includes the content presentation, which I appreciated for its style, with color-coded categorization that makes it easy to identify the information quickly. What I liked most about Jenn Christison is her practical approach, which always motivates us to reflect and act. The narrative style is simple and clear, but at the same time inspiring and positive. I loved how she relates each topic to an aspect of nature, with interesting facts that help us to remember the ideas. For example, when she talks about making decisions, she compares this process to pruning plants: dry branches are removed so that new ones can flourish. The explanations are brief, entertaining, and have everyday examples that can be applied to any group work. In addition, collaboration and teamwork are constantly emphasized to create an appropriate and respectful environment.

If you’re working on developing your leadership skills individually or as part of a management team, Even Better Leadership: Provocative Reflections to Guide Improvement by consultant and coach Jenn Christison may be for you. It provides reflection techniques on key areas of personal leadership responsibilities. These areas include setting direction, monitoring progress, prioritizing quality, fostering collaboration, giving feedback, making decisions, showing respect, and championing improvement. For each area, a series of questions stimulate reflection on what that responsibility means, how to monitor progress on it, how to look at examples from nature to give insight into it, how to understand your mindset about it, and how to take action to improve it. The areas and the questions for reflection are presented in a colorful table format.

In Even Better Leadership: Provocative Reflections to Guide Improvement, Jenn Christison gives us the questions that leaders need to ask themselves so they can become even better leaders. The workforce and customers of any organization depend on its leaders to improve its processes and the quality of its products or services, but this can only be done properly if they also strive to improve the effectiveness of their leadership abilities. The hectic pace and daily demands in the workplace can make it difficult for leaders to reflect methodically, systematically, and at a strategic level on their strengths and areas for improvement. With an easy-to-follow format that can be tailored to the schedules of individuals or teams, Even Better Leadership is a great tool for that purpose.
