Sarah K-N grew up in Buffalo, New-York but matured in Kinshasa, D R C.
She spent the majority of her career working for the United States government. The last seven years with the State Department, she successfully managed the Adoptions portfolio for the US Embassy in Kinshasa, DRC.
Upon her return to the U.S, she worked and trained for a year as a pharmacy technician in Columbus, Ohio.
Simultaneously, throughout her entire career, she worked beside a servant of God who has used his ministry to help free hundreds of desperate cases from illness and bondage. It is through a mixture of these experiences that she has based her novel.

Expectations: The Real World behind the Curtain of Time by Sarah K-N is an inspirational story that explores the battle between the darkness of the occult and the light of faith. Pastor Ace Cadman has just learned about a very dangerous secret from his twin nephews whose family is involved in a powerful secret society. Their parents have ensured that the secret remains in the family, but the twins now need help and the only person they can turn to is Ace. With unusual things happening around him, Ace must decide if this is his fight and whether he has the tools to wage war against this secret society. The scariest thing is that he is already on their radar.
Sarah K-N has a gift for storytelling and I enjoyed the prose — crisp and engaging. The story entertains and inspires, featuring a proverbial conflict between two strong spiritual forces. The characters are believable and the humanity of the characters comes out in the story. The way the author captures the emotions of the characters, the atmosphere, the aspects of the setting is exceptional. An example is when she describes the atmosphere at the home of Ace’s adoptive father just after his disappearance and before Ace could even know of it — it is definitely different, with a heaviness and a darkness that usually isn’t there.
The descriptive nature of the prose coupled with lively dialogues allows readers to feel the characters, to get a sense of the spiritual intensity of the story and to connect with the emotional and psychological side of the characters. The writing in Expectations: The Real World behind the Curtain of Time is atmospheric, the pacing fast, and the conflict strong enough to enhance the emotions in the narrative.
