As people, we are all unique. There are some people that enjoy those unique qualities in us, while others do not. In Feet by CE Aylett, Bradley had an issue with feet. Not just any feet, but with his co-worker Edna Stirling’s feet. In Feet, you are taken on a humorous journey as Bradley seeks to understand why Edna did not care about how she looked and that her feet were cracked and had flaking skin, plus swollen ankles. Bradley became so obsessed with Edna’s feet that he decided to order her a nice pair of stylish, comfortable sandals. The problem was that he wanted it to be kept a secret and he didn't know her size, so his quest began. As Bradley started his search to find out Edna’s shoe size and to pretend the gift was from a secret admirer, Bradley discovered more about himself and his real connection to Edna than he realized.

As I began reading Feet, I couldn't stop laughing because there are people within our close working environment that make you wonder what they're thinking about due their appearance. Bradley went to great lengths to inflict his desires on Edna and, every time she encountered him, she took it in her stride. Feet made me laugh at myself as I wondered what people think of me sometimes when I make those quick store runs and I've just thrown something on in my own Bohemian fashion. We all have unique characteristics, but, overall, we are more similar than is realized. If you want a good laugh and to see yourself in a story, Feet by CE Aylett is for you.
