Fly by T.A. Styles begins when Ric Hunter discovers his friend, Gary, unconscious in his home. The last update he received from their friend Spencer was that Gary was finalizing the preparations for a Super Bowl party they were going to have later. While waiting for the ambulance to arrive, Ric noticed a large horsefly buzzing around Gary. Despite his attempts to scare it away, it wouldn't leave Gary alone. As help arrived, Ric had forgotten about the fly amid all the chaos. However, was it just his imagination, or was the same fly following him everywhere? It was appearing in his car, at the hospital, and at home. He was starting to feel like it was out to get him. To make matters worse, a few people he had just interacted with were suddenly found dead, one by one. Something sinister had been unfolding ever since that fly buzzed onto the scene, and he wasn’t about to sit idly by and wait for his turn. Read Fly to discover what happens next to Ric Hunter and his friends!

Fly by T.A. Styles is unique, moderately paced, and well-written. I have never read anything as thrilling as this. Flies are already off-putting; adding them to a thriller makes it even more spine-chilling. The story shows how people hide their struggles behind a false front. It teaches several lessons, and one of the most important is that we are responsible for our actions. This means we should always try to do good in our lives. Among all the noteworthy characters, I admire Hannah, Ric’s wife, the most. She exudes so much strength and love that I couldn’t help but appreciate her. As I read more about Ric’s raw emotions and his acknowledgment of his past mistakes, my initial annoyance with him gradually transformed into respect. Fly has reminded me once again that true repentance goes beyond simply feeling regret and apologizing for one’s mistakes. It involves learning from those mistakes and changing oneself for the better. The entire story was engaging from start to finish. Great work!

Author T.A. Styles brings readers a thrilling tale of mystery and horror with Fly. Ric Hunter's troubled marriage becomes the least of his problems when he finds his friend, Gary Terry, lying unconscious at the bottom of the stairs of his house with a mysterious horsefly buzzing around his limp body. Things get worse when the fly starts following Ric around everywhere, affecting his personal and professional life. Meanwhile, Spencer Deacon, one of Ric's best friends, also becomes a victim of the whims of this deadly fly. Ric and Spencer realize that they must reconcile with their pasts if they want to survive. However, escaping the wrath of the devil is not so easy. Detective Kolby Sheffield may have the answers, but can Ric and Spencer repent?

Part psychological thriller and part horror drama, Fly is a chilling tale of survival and redemption. From the very first page, T.A. Styles' gripping narrative sets its hooks in you, and it's a hair-raising ride from there. There are chills and thrills galore, as the plot keeps offering new twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat all the way through. Packed with mystery, suspense, and tension, the narrative rarely allows you to take a breather. The characters are layered and complex. Despite his mistakes, I found Ric to be a fascinating protagonist. Ric and Spencer are flawed men with sinful pasts. However, it's their choice to seek repentance that opens the door to their redemption and the possibility of freedom. The pacing is excellent. The pages just flew by as I was completely engrossed. Fans of horror are in for a treat!

Fly by T.A. Styles begins when Gary falls down his basement stairs while trying to swat a horsefly, leaving him comatose. Ric discovers him, calls emergency services, and discusses the situation with his friend Spencer. A detective recalls other similar encounters and is himself attacked by the fly while driving. Ric starts to see the fly everywhere: in cars, at the hospital, and in public spaces, its pursuit slowly evolving into an obsession. Spencer is bitten in his apartment and associates the fly with an old bully who turned violent. Ric's relationships with his wife and son spiral as he attempts to protect them from the fly. He sets traps, lays sticky tape, and monitors its movements, doing all he can to keep the people he cares for, children, and even pets safe...but still, the insect persists.

Fly by T.A. Styles is a classic horror story that digs into some of the best elements of the creature feature genre in a fresh twist for contemporary readers. Styles builds the terror into a crescendo through a series of supremely high-pressure incidents, from a startling and unexpected car wash attack that totally subverts who we consider the enemy to be, to the chaos at Valley Hall. Ric’s dogged determination is brilliant. One can truly sense the madness he appears to harbor toward those who are as baffled by his behavior as he is by the pestilence. The writing is sharp, and the scenes move quickly. Overall, Styles offers readers a fantastic story that is so suspenseful and absorbing that it deserves a soundtrack, leaning into the unpredictability of both human and insect behavior. Very highly recommended.
