Author Biography

Judith Ann Kohnen is a multi-award-winning author, as well as a passionate intuitive, counselor, mentor, and healing arts practitioner. Her debut novel One Chance, One Moment is the first book in her Mandy Story series, now a twelve-time winner since its first edition in 2014. Bubbling with emotional drama, humor, adventure and suspense, the Mandy story continues in Judith's recently published sequel – For the Love of Mandy – available now on Amazon at http://amzn.to/2DCEMnQ.

For seven years prior to the writing of One Chance, One Moment, the book’s main heroine was none other than the author herself, playing out a fantasy that kept entering her head every night while considering whether she should to go back to school and become a nurse or not. Indeed, years later, Judith did become a registered nurse to secure better income, but meanwhile, she decided to put her creative thoughts onto paper. Several months into writing - around chapter twelve – Judith’s story began to develop as an inspiration from the oldies hit song MANDY, recorded in 1975 by Manilow. From that point on, the manuscript became even more magical, developing a soul of its own.

Judith is currently working on her third novel, Whispering Hope - branching off from her first two novels with the story of Robbie, now a grown man. She lives on 40 acres in Chesterfield, Virginia with her husband where she writes, teaches, and has her own professional holistic arts center (http://chhac.com).

Rich, emotionally complex, a story that juggles many suspenseful moments at once, For The Love of Mandy by Judith Ann Kohnen is the second entry in The Mandy Story, a tale that will take your breath away. Meet the holistic healer Amanda Fields, a woman who leaves a man she loves deeply just to find him at the other end of her journey, while already entangled with another man she has learned to love like her first. Now, she is faced with the dilemma of a lifetime. How can she choose between two people she seems to love in the same way, two men who awaken the same passion in her heart, and two men who are equally determined to keep her? That is what Amanda has to figure out.

A riveting woman-in-dilemma plot propels Judith Ann Kohnen’s contemporary romance novel forward, a story with compelling characters and an intelligently designed plot. Few authors have Kohnen’s gift for imbuing realistic and flawed characters with so much humanity. This is a densely plotted, fast-paced novel, packed with emotionally rich moments. The reader takes a quick liking to Amanda and, as they follow her from one gripping scene scene to the next, they are compelled to explore the complexities of her heart and to listen to its music. The author takes the reader into the very heart of the protagonist, making them relive moments and experience emotions that are intrinsically linked to our human nature. For The Love of Mandy is realistic, well-plotted, and written to keep the reader interested in the characters. It is as riveting as it is entertaining. A must-read for fans of contemporary romance.

For The Love of Mandy by Judith Ann Kohnen is Book Two in The Mandy Story, a gripping contemporary romance with gorgeous and sophisticated characters. A woman follows her heart and leaves behind the love of her life, but she is walking towards someone who could bring more pain to her heart. Amanda Fields is a holistic healer who has loved Garry Danzlo with a fiery love. It is when she leaves that Garry realizes how much she means to him. He resolves to bring her back. But it could be too late, because someone else loves her and he does so with the same strength and passion as Garry. Does Garry have what it takes to bring her back, and can Mandy find the wisdom in her heart to get out of this dilemma?

Judith Ann Kohnen’s novel is spellbinding, hugely entertaining and loaded with emotions that readers can resonate with. The story is a success at several levels, including the language, the strong plot elements, character development, and pacing. It is hard to not fall for the protagonist — a strong and beautiful woman whose charm and strength come out as strongly as does her human vulnerability. The author does a wonderful job in crafting a conflict that grips the reader from the very first page and makes the reader want to discover the outcome. For The Love of Mandy is a page-turner with characters that feel real and that instantly win the reader’s sympathy; it is emotionally intense and strongly engaging.

Judith Ann Kohnen’s For The Love Of Mandy (The Mandy Story Book 2) is a multi-genre novel geared towards female readers who enjoy romance, action and love triangles. After their disastrous parting, Amanda Fields never thought that she would see Garry Danzlo again. But now things seem to be coming together nicely, with a proposal from the man she loves and her adoption of wheelchair bound Robbie on the horizon. What could possibly go wrong? Garry isn’t the only man Mandy loves. Eddie Chandler has always looked out for her and, when he needs her, she has no choice but to go to him. This time Garry will pursue the woman he loves and God help the man who stands in his way.

For The Love Of Mandy is a lovely story that filled me with a kaleidoscope of emotions. This is not your run of the mill romance novel. The characters in this book are easily relatable and their challenges realistic. Judith Ann Kohnen knows how to show people at their worst and at their best simultaneously, which makes reading her novel an enjoyable experience. Her characters are complex beings that jump out at you and make you love them or hate them. I especially enjoyed the humorous moments that came from my favorite character Robbie’s shenanigans. The family theme is heartwarming and adds a magical element to the story. Though For The Love Of Mandy is the second and last book in this series, it is easy to follow and connect the events that lead to the explosive ending.
