Fully Booked Without Burnout: A Massage Therapist's Guide to Building a Six-Figure Business with Fun, Freedom and Passion by James Crook and Elicia Crook is a self-help guide for massage therapists interested in growing their business, whether they are new to the profession or are seasoned veterans who haven't made the financial progress they hoped for when they first began their journey of healing. Written by an expert massage therapist who has owned a thriving business after years of trial and error, and a marketing guru with a lengthy tenure in the field of publicity, the Crooks offer seventeen chapters broken down into three parts, beginning with the “Three Amazing Ms” (Mindset, Marketing, and Mechanics) and culminating with the Four Pillars of Growth.
Fully Booked Without Burnout has been released at an excellent time, one in which the world has finally - once more - begun to understand the benefits of whole body care that involves the delicate balance of nature and science. James and Elicia Crook make some excellent points and, sadly, many massage therapists will likely find their circumstances outlined when they initially dive into this book. The good news is that the Crooks have a wealth of experience under their belts and have compiled ways for these same readers to make lasting changes that can yield the results they deserve. My favorite section was in part two and addressed blogging – which just felt so incredibly relevant (and pretty darn easy) right now. I'd absolutely recommend this book to massage therapists and business owners in the field that are at any stage of their career.
