In Golden Horizon by Nick Bohnet, Matt has recently returned home as he runs away from the memories of the death of his fiancee, Sophie. However, his return turns out to be much more than the quiet life he was expecting. He is having financial problems and in danger of losing his boat, First Light, which is also his home. He is trying hard to ignore his feelings for Jess, the woman who will share a piece of his adventure when they get caught in the web of bad guys Vladimir and Victor. He is fortunate in having his old friend Andrew and new friend Jake watching out for him. Matt learns that Vladimir is looking for something lost in the water and when he learns what it is, he risks his life and those of his friend to find it before the bad guys. This causes many scary events and puts everyone in danger when faced with death, fire, drowning, and more.
Oh my gosh, the action is amazing in Golden Horizon by Nick Bohnet, never stopping until the very last page. I held my breath and was on the edge of my seat at the suspense as the characters faced danger at every turn. Golden Horizon will keep you up late because it is just too good to put down and impossible to leave Matt without knowing the final outcome. I highly urge you to read Golden Horizon and promise you will not be disappointed. I would love to see this book become a made for TV movie. This is the perfect read for anyone who enjoys action, excitement, a little romance, adventure, and suspense – do not pass this one up.
