Greenstar Season 3 by Dave Higgins and Simon Cantan continues the Josie Stein Comedy sci-fi series. In the previous installment, Vesta Hartman sabotaged the green-burstium engine on the Greenstar, sending the crew into infinitely folding hyperspace. They found themselves surrounded by a white void, the Land of Nod, welcomed by a mysterious guide named Anak, while Topik horribly found himself in a ‘floppy, uncoordinated’ body. It seems Josie Stein has to save everyone yet again.

Just like the previous books, Book 3 excellently maintains the series' trademark humor. That said, the story takes a weirder direction when Josie and the crew are in the Land of Nod, a featureless void where anyone’s imaginations can become real. You just need to think what you want, and it will appear. Cheeseburgers, ice cream, soda, pie, a large bed - some of the crew are having fun with their seemingly ‘god-like power’. But this is the Greenstar crew, and some minds are just plain dreadful. Soon, giant whales, dragons, zombies, robots, and other creatures are trying to kill them.

I didn’t expect the story to become this eccentric, and it took some time for me to figure out the plot’s direction. However, all questions are answered in the end and everything becomes clearer about the crew’s situations. Also, Topik still outshines the other characters, no matter what form he takes. His character development is well done. All in all, it is another fun, fast paced quirky adventure of the Greenstar crew by Higgins and Cantan.
