Ready to meet a character who shows a new kind of "naughty" in the most delightful way possible? Hanna the Guardian of Nature: Born To Be Naughty by Hina Nauman tells the story of Hanna, a girl with a head full of wild, bouncy curls and an even wilder imagination. This book gives readers a chance to jump into Hanna’s world as she stirs up trouble in the most lovable way. Whether she's turning a party upside down or crafting outrageous pranks like putting firecrackers in the toilet, Hanna's antics are as surprising as they are hilarious. Still, there’s always a little heart and kindness tucked in, too. She builds an unlikely friendship with a sparrow whose quiet presence reveals Hanna’s softer side. Her story will have you smiling, giggling, and loving her wild journeys, despite her being a troublemaker.

Hina Nauman’s writing really shines here—Hanna’s voice is so full of energy and personality, she feels like a real kid you might meet at school or keep a close eye on during recess. The pace is quick, just like Hanna herself, and I loved how each short chapter felt like its own little adventure. As an educator, I also liked how the story manages to be both funny and meaningful because those are the stories kids remember. The “nature challenges” are a great addition that could be used as a fun way to get kids to think and observe. And Hanna’s sweet connection with the sparrow? It completely caught me off guard, but in the best way possible. It shows that even the most mischievous children need a connection, and in this case, it indicates that Hanna has a heart and can be surprisingly tender. I loved how Hanna the Guardian of Nature: Born to Be Naughty celebrates being yourself and embracing unexpected friendships. It made me laugh, think, and feel and I know kids will too.
