Hawaiian Hurricane is the first book in The Spirit of Ohana Cruise Ship series by Laney Kaye. Sara Grant was an Australian attorney who enjoyed her professional and personal life until fate decided that she had had enough fun. Now working as a stewardess on the Spirit of Ohana cruise ship en route to Hawaii, her only goal is to save an orphanage before it is closed due to the lack of funds. However, her peaceful existence is disturbed when one night she finds a lone sailor on the deck of a boat that will surely sink if she doesn’t do something about it. So she rescues him, but only to find that the man she saved is insufferable. He is just another rich playboy looking for the next conquest and she doesn’t have time for him. But just as she is hiding a secret, the handsome hunk she rescued is doing the same thing. There is an undeniable spark between them, one that she is trying to ignore. However, there seems to be something holding them both back? What is it? Is this chemistry worth exploring?
Hawaiian Hurricane is for the record book! This funny, exciting and exceptionally well-developed romance is like a breath of fresh air. I absolutely loved the banter between Rick and Sara; I wholeheartedly believe that they are a match made in heaven. She is spunky, weird and determined while he is a man on a mission who will do whatever it takes to get it done. They complete each other, allow each other to grow and make the reader fall in love with them before they fall in love with each other. The pace was fast, the romance was believable and the tension was sizzling hot. I adore these two and I cannot wait to see who finds love in the next installment!
