Healed in Him by Maggie Bennett is a Christian romance that takes place in rural Montana. Daniel is a doctor in a small town who has applied for a grant to build a bigger clinic. One of his big reasons is that he has a nephew with Down's Syndrome, who will need specialized health care as he grows. Amanda is the person from the grant who has come to check out the request. Amanda is a doctor but has gone on to this new profession because of an unfortunate incident with a patient. Amanda's boss encourages her to interact with Daniel's patients to get a better feel for the clinic and the families who use it. Amanda is not supposed to have a relationship with an applicant, but the two of them fall in love as they work together.

I thoroughly enjoyed the interactions between Daniel and Amanda and his twin nephews in Healed in Him by Maggie Bennett. I appreciated that Daniel learned to trust God for the new clinic and that Amanda learned to trust God to help her face her fears. I loved the whole idea of a medical clinic that catered to kids with the playground equipment outside and the art day once a month. I was caught up in the medical emergency and had tears in my eyes when it was over. I liked the “small town” feel of the town, with friendly caring people. I look forward to more books by this author.
