Author Biography

Gail Morgan McRae grew up desperately poor on a small tobacco farm in rural southeastern North Carolina. Her family walked to church every Sunday they were all well enough to go. Her parents drilled into her and her brothers that to get out of poverty they had to get a good education, work hard, and have faith that God would put them where He wanted them to be. She didn’t get it when she was little, but as she matured she understood. She and her brothers worked hard to pull themselves out of poverty - and with God’s grace, they did.

She has been writing most of her life, though it was not until she was in her thirties that she began to write fiction, specifically fantasy. She has worked many jobs trying to help her family to make ends meet, but finds that writing is the most challenging and by far the most satisfying.

She says though the trilogy is done, the series must go on. Book 4 (as yet unnamed) will continue the stories of many of the characters the readers have come to love - or hate - as the case may be. This fourth book came to her while she was writing Dunmyrr. She hopes to complete it within the next year or so.

Finally, she wants to thank all the fans of this series. Without your interest, there would be no reason for her to write these books. And she is convinced that the characters still waiting to have their stories told are as grateful to you as she is.

I just finished reading Hellritch: The Reglon Empire Series Part 2, the second of three books released in the Reglon Empire series by author Gail Morgan McRae, and the main thing that definitely comes to mind is "Whoa!" Following the stories of the characters that readers got to know in Creedor, the first book of the series, we see that Commander Michael Camdus of the Reglon Empire Guard and his soldiers are once again fighting with the Q'Arons. The Q'Arons are led by Emperor Hellritch, and when he decides to steal something that will make Reglon Emperor Jarlod take notice, a new battle will certainly ensue. Uniquely telling the story of characters from both empires, Hellritch is a story that readers will have a very tough time putting down once they have begun it.

Filled with action, adventure, intrigue and excitement, Hellritch by Gail Morgan McRae does an excellent job in picking up where her first book, Creedor, left off. Readers who grew attached to characters will be pleased that they are back, and new characters in Hellritch add interest. Author McRae does a wonderful job in creating a fantasy environment that somehow still feels realistic, certainly a gift for an author in this genre. Any reader who enjoys a great work of fantasy, with unique and varied characters, action, adventure or suspense should absolutely read Hellritch. I am pleased to recommend this novel, and am looking forward to getting my hands on the next book in this great series by Gail Morgan McRae!
