Daddy Bear knew his cub wanted to play and Baby Bear wanted to swim in the lake with the others all day. Daddy Bear had an idea too. He decided to take a picnic to eat by the lake. Baby Bear was excited as he ran down the stairs. They set out for the lake. On the way, they met a lonely snake and invited him for a swim. The snake curled up on Baby Bear's neck and, as they kept going along the winding path, they met a frog. The frog also joined them happily and as they continued, they ran into a sleeping deer. The bears realized that the animals with them were lonely and sad. All the animals were grateful for the kindness shown to them. They played and splashed together and shared the picnic lunch.

Hey There, Baby Bear by Timothy Luckey is an adorable story that will make young readers realize how adventures and picnics are more fun if done with friends, just like Daddy Bear and Baby Bear in the story. Rania M. Tulba's illustrations are colorful and lively and they capture the mood of the adventure and picnic wonderfully. This is a good bedtime storybook and can be used in classrooms and school libraries for storytelling and read-aloud sessions. It will encourage children to go on adventures and picnics with friends and have a lot of fun. Hey There, Baby Bear by Timothy Luckey will introduce youngsters to different types of animals in an entertaining and interactive way.
