Fabio loved Roxie and left her a large sum on money in his will. When Saul began distributing his brother’s estate he met Roxie for the first time. Her son was obviously Fabio’s. He found himself drawn to her and Josh. Roxie resisted her desires. Josh was the focus of her life and she could not let the Hetherington’s influence him.

Entertaining…His Other Wife by Margaret Blake is an entertaining read. I would have given it a higher rating except for the need for proofreading. The characters are well-developed with a voice of their own. Roxie is a strong, independent woman. Saul is her perfect mate. Carla and Louisa are perfect antagonists. I would not want Carla for a mother-in-law. I like this tale. It was hard to put down. Margaret Blake’s style is delightful; I could hear that special dash of English in her writing.

I enjoyed His Other Wife. The characters felt very real to me. I loved Saul and the way he kept after the prickly Roxie. Josh was the perfect child - a little man looking out for his mother, yet yearning for the guidance and presence of a man. Roxie's defensiveness felt true to me, with self-doubt and insecurities from her unstable childhood popping up at the worst times. Roxie's secret surprised me. Good job Ms Blake!
